We are very concerned about protecting our customers’ privacy and personal rights. We only collect and process your personal data during your visit to our website in compliance with the provisions of the data privacy regulations, specifically the German Telemedia Act (TMG), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). 3. Information on the collection of personal data

  1. In the following, we would like to inform you about the collection of your personal data when using our website www.cevalon.com and the sub-websites (hereinafter: the “Website”). Personal data are all data which might refer to you personally, including for example your name, address, email address, user behavior.
  2. When contacting us by e-mail or via a contact form, we will save the data you have provided (you email address and, if applicable, your name and telephone number) for the purpose of answering your questions. We will either delete the data generated in this context once they no longer need to be saved or restrict their processing if required under the statutory record keeping and retention obligations.
  3. Should we decide to resort to the services of contracted service providers for individual functions of our offer, or to use your data for advertising purposes, we will provide you with detailed information about the respective processes in the paragraphs below. We also specify the defined criteria for the storage period.

5. Collection of personal data during your visits to our website

  1. If you use our website for information purposes only, i.e., if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the personal data transmitted by your browser to our server. If you wish to view our website, we will collect the following data required by us for technical purposes in order to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security (the legal basis is Article 6 subsection (1) 1st sentence subparagraph f GDPR):
    • IP address
    • Date and time of the request
    • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
    • Content of the request (specific page)
    • Access status/ HTIP status code
    • Data volume transmitted at any given time
    • Website sending the request
    • Browser
    • Operating system and its surface
    • Language and version of browser software.
  2. In addition to the above-mentioned data, cookies will be saved on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are tiny text files which are stored by your browser on the hard disc of the computer you are using, and which send us certain information. Cookies are incapable of executing programs or transmitting viruses to your computer. They serve to improve the overall user-friendliness and effectiveness of the Internet offering.
  3. Use of cookies:
    • a) This website uses the following types of cookies the scope and functioning of which are explained below:
      • Transient cookies (see subparagraph b)
      • Persistent cookies (see subparagraph c).
    • b) Transient cookies are deleted automatically as you exit the browser. These include in particular the session cookies. These cookies save a so-called session ID which allows several queries from your browser to be assigned to a single session. This allows identification of you computer when returning to our website. The session cookies are deleted as you log off or exit your browser.
    • c) Persistent cookies are deleted automatically after a specified length of time which may differ from one cookie to the next. You may delete the cookies at any time via the security settings of your browser.
    • d) You may configure your browser settings according to your preferences and refuse e. g. the acceptance of third-party cookies or all cookies. Please note that you may not be able to use all functions of this website.
    • e) If you have an account with us, we use cookies to identify you for follow-up visits. Otherwise you need to log in anew for every visit.
    • f) The Flash cookies used will not be recorded by your browser, but by your Flash plug-in. We also use HT ML5 storage objects which are stored on your terminal device. These objects save the required data independently of the browser you are using and do not have an automatic expiry date. 6. Use of Google Analytics

  1. This web page uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “Cookies”, i.e. text files saved on your computer to help us analyze how users use your website. The information generated by the cookie about users’ access of this web page will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
    However, if lP anonymization was activated on this website, the lP address will first be truncated by Google within the member states of the European Union and the other contracting states of the Treaty on the European Economic Area (EEA). Only in exceptional cases will the complete lP address be transmitted to a Google server in the U.S. and truncated there. Google will use this information by order and on behalf of this web page’s operator for the purpose of evaluating your use to the website, for compiling reports on the website activities, and for providing other services related to the use of the website and the Internet to the website’s operator.
  2. Google will not associate the lP address transmitted by you internet browser within the scope of Google Analytics with any other data held by Google.

  4. This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizelp()”. Consequently lP addresses are only used in shortened form in order to prevent direct personal references. Insofar as the data collected about you have a direct personal reference, such personal reference will be excluded immediately and the personal data will be deleted immediately.
  5. We use Google Analytics to analyze and regularly improve the use of our website. The statistics obtained allow us to improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. For the exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. 7. Use of Google Analytics

  1. This website uses the Google AdSense online advertising service which allows the presentation of advertising tailored to your interests. Our motive for doing so is to show you advertising which may be of interest to you, with a view to making our website more interesting for you. For this purpose, statistical information about you is collected which is processed by our advertising partners. These advertisements can be identified by the reference “Google Ad” in the respective display.
  2. By visiting our website, Google will receive the information that you have visited our website.
    To do this, Google uses a web beacon to deposit a cookie on your computer. The data mentioned under Section 3 of this Data Privacy Policy will be transmitted. We have no influence on the data collected, nor do we know the full extent of the data collection and the storage period. Your data will be transmitted to the USA and analyzed there.
